VERLINDE celebrates 162 years of lifting innovation

In 1863, a small mechanical workshop in Vernouillet, France began producing the lifting equipment that would eventually define the VERLINDE brand. Over the following century and a half, the company grew from a regional craftsman into one of Europe's leading manufacturers of electric chain hoists, manual lifting equipment and overhead crane systems, expanding its presence to over 100 countries worldwide.

The company's commitment to manufacturing in France has remained a constant throughout its history. Today, VERLINDE's Vernouillet facility employs several hundred engineers, technicians and production staff, producing the full range of Eurochain, Eurobloc and Stagemaker products sold through an international network of authorised distributors and service partners.

As it enters its 163rd year, VERLINDE continues to invest heavily in research, development and certification — with the recently launched Eurochain VX range standing as the latest expression of that long-standing commitment to innovation. "Our history gives us roots," said the company's President. "But it is our curiosity and ambition that drive us forward."
